Thank you for your interest in Past Present Future.
The furniture and accessories you will be viewing on our web-
site are the best that America produced from the late 1800's
through the mid 1970's. We collect, restore and supply vintage
and antique office furniture from manufacturers such as General
Fireproofing, All Steel Equipment, Steelcase, Herman Miller,
Knoll, Art Metal Company, Library Bureau Sole Maker, Shaw- Walker,
Yawman Erbe, Emeco, Invincible, Derby, Gunlocke and Cole. We
also specialize in Twentieth Century decorative arts furniture
and objects by Thonet, Saarinen, Mies Van Der Rohe, George Nelson,
Shelby Williams and Eames; and we deal in 20th Century fine
arts and collectibles including the works of Shimon Okshteyn,
Patrick Nagel, Dennis Mukai, Bruce McCombs, Daniel Authouart
and Robert Hoppe.
Having been involved in furniture, fine art and design work
since 1970 we have a great feel for the interesting and unusual.
We have over two thousand chairs and countless office, industrial
and building accessories in our constantly expanding inventory.
Our restoration and modification work is unsurpassed and, as
we personally oversee all facets, guaranteed to be as perfect
as humanly possible. We pride ourselves on our ability to give
this furniture a new life. The result is both functional and
unique, using the style of the past to enhance today's home
or office setting. We differ from others in the vintage office
furniture marketplace by offering the most diverse choice of
styles, models and restoration options.
Past Present Future is made up of highly motivated individuals
who have a passion for saving this wonderful and often neglected
vintage wood and metal office furniture. This is the furniture
made and used by the men and women who saved the free world
during the war years, using the machines and factories that
became the foundation of today's American infrastructure. These
chairs, desks, credenzas, bookcases and tables were called tanks
and battleships because they were built just as tough. Many
designs are from great American designers who applied their
talents to office furniture early in their careers, and whose
accomplishments in the field have long been forgotten. Our mission
is to rescue this furniture and these designs and put them back
where they belong - in use.
